HOLY WARM UP THE CAR CANADA! Pretty much everybody is starting their morning in a Deep Freeze! Thankfully, most cities will experience a pretty big warming throught the day, so your Long John Index of 3, should quickly become a 1. Except if you are in Alert, where it is currently -48C WITHOUT THE WIND, then you are very much hooped.

Uh oh. Spring is starting to...er...Spring across the Dominion! Not many places with a daytime Long John Index today! Of course we could have said that about January, but when there are highs of +9, +12, and heck +14, that means Winter's days are numbered! Only the North, Saskatchewan, PEI and Newfoundland will see any sort of freezing action! The rest? It will be mostly Sunny and Sloppy across Canada.

By the way, a special MITTEN HIGH FIVE to everyone in Alert, Top of Canada. They woke up to -37 C and a -50 C Windchill this morning.

Private Daniel Jacobs works on his snow sculpture in Alert, NunavutWell its warm and melty from Vancouver to Winnipeg today! Nothing on the Prairies is cold, save for pockets of breezyness in the mountains! A Bit chillier from Thunder (Danger) Bay to the Atlantic, but nothing too Cold. Heck, it's down right Balmy for most of Canada! MOST. Not so much up North! Whitehorse and Yellowknife aren't that bad with Long John Index's of 3, but Inuvik won't be warmer than a 5! Same goes with Alert, Top of Canada!

Speaking of ALERT, the Above photo is of Private Daniel Jacobs and his giganto snow sculputers. If he is building them when there is a Windchill of - 42 C in Alert, he gets 10,000 cool points. Big thanks to Lt. Christopher Daniels for submitting it!

Oh, and by the way Canada; we love getting pictures. Hint Hint.

The temperature sllllooooowwwwwllllly starts to creep towards freezing down east, with Quebec City and St. John's making an appearing on the Index. Not much of a change anywhere else in the dominion, except for maybe North, where the temperature has dropped a wee bit. Yes, even in Alert, where yesterday's high of -31 is going to be considered tropical heat compared to today! Was -42 with the windchill this morning! Zoiks!
