Happy This Year Canada, and WOW what a way to start 2014! It is darn near summer from BC to Alberta, if by summer you include all the freezing rain warnings in Alberta! Colder as we move to Saskatchewan, but not overly so ( Long John Index's of 4ish), and Ditto for Winnipeg but WOW does the temperature drop as soon you cross the Manitoba Border! Thunder Bay, Sudbuy and Timmins all racing to -40 and TIMMINS IS WINNING! Long John Index of 4 for many parts of Southern Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes as well! YIPES!

Well at least it's Winter in Ontario! Much of Ontario and Quebec still in a nice little deep freeze! If it isn't a Long John Index of 3, in Ontario, then it's probably snowing! OR BOTH! Sure to keep Ontarians happy! Chilly in the Maritimes as well! Out west, It's freezing rain at the Home Office in Edmonton, which is good for absolutely nobody. Otherwise, Winter is taking a siesta in BC and Alberta, but at least it's Cold and Snowy in Saskatchewan. Cold up North too! Alert, Top of Canada will have a Long John Index of 5 today!

Congrats Sudbury where they will not crack a #longjohnindex of 3 today! HUZZAH! Meanwhile It's still balmy, WAY TOO BALMY out West! Will be +10 and Sunny in Calgary today! How are you supposed to shovel that? Really cold up north, except for Whitehorse! Iqaluit, Inuvik and Yellowknife will rock a 4 today!
