Your Long John Index Forecast! Dec 5 2013

OHHHH DOCTAH! If warm air rises, than the eastern part of canada is waaaaaay higher than the west! No Long John Index for anyone east of Thunder Bay, but WOW do those temperatures plunge as you move westward! Saskatoon was a 5 this morning! Alberta is a 4! Heck even Vancouver will be a 1 today!  Luckily the snow has tapered off, but there are still some snowy pockets, out west and into Ontario, which will also enjoy some freezing rain. And by enjoy we mean not at all.

Y'know, we like the cold and all, but when the temperature starts pushing windchills of -40 and Colder, we think that goes TO FAR! Much of Alberta and Saskatchewan woke up to Long John Index's of 5! Thankfully, the temperature will ease off a bit, but this is about as Cold as it gets (Knock on some sort of wood). Everything from the Rockies to the Ontario border will be a Long John Index of 4! Not exactly balmy in the BC, Ontario and Quebec either! Even Vancouver will have a Long John Index today! Should you need a tropicla get away, we recommend Halifax, where it will be +7 C today.

Well the good news is we here at the Home Office in Edmonton, survived yesterday's Snownado. The bad news is we had so much snow, and so many polar bears, that a couple of them broke into the office, and are currently asleep on the employee lounge. WORSE; they turned the TV on and have been blaring Reality TV Shows for 19 hours!

Big Chill across the Dominion of Canada today! In fact, its so cold, that people in Vancouver, Victoria, and Kamloops will wake up with a Long John Index of 1 today! It won't last, but STILL! When it's Cold in Vancouver, then you know winter is here! Vancouver also has a Polar Bear Alert! Good Job Vancouver!
